Warranty & Workmanship Information

Good Neighbour Plumbing is committed to delivering quality workmanship and professional service on every job we undertake.

Workmanship Warranty

We warrant that all workmanship performed by Good Neighbour Plumbing will be carried out with reasonable care, skill, and attention in accordance with applicable Australian standards and industry best practices.

If a workmanship defect is identified and reported within the applicable warranty period, we will inspect the issue and, where the defect is determined to be the result of our workmanship, we will rectify the issue at no additional cost to the customer.

Manufacturer Warranties

Many products, fixtures, appliances, fittings, and materials supplied and installed by Good Neighbour Plumbing are covered by manufacturer warranties.

Manufacturer warranty periods and terms vary depending on the product. Any warranty claims relating to product defects will be subject to the manufacturer's warranty conditions.

Where possible, we will assist customers in facilitating warranty claims with manufacturers.

Warranty Exclusions

Our workmanship warranty does not apply to:

  • normal wear and tear;
  • customer misuse, neglect, accidental damage, or abuse;
  • pre-existing defects or conditions not caused by our work;
  • blockages caused by foreign objects, tree roots, sanitary products, grease build-up, or misuse after our work has been completed;
  • damage caused by third parties;
  • work that has been altered, repaired, or modified by another contractor after completion;
  • issues arising from existing plumbing systems, infrastructure, or components that were not installed by Good Neighbour Plumbing; or
  • events outside our reasonable control, including storms, floods, fire, vandalism, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Blocked Drains

Clearing a blocked drain restores the flow of the drain at the time of service. However, drain blockages may reoccur due to underlying issues such as damaged pipes, tree root intrusion, pipe movement, grease accumulation, foreign objects, or other conditions beyond our control.

Unless specifically stated in writing, no warranty is provided that a blocked drain will remain clear indefinitely following drain cleaning or clearing services.

Customer Responsibilities

To assist with warranty claims, customers should:

  • notify us as soon as possible after becoming aware of an issue;
  • provide reasonable access for inspection and assessment;
  • avoid arranging repairs by another contractor before giving us the opportunity to inspect the issue; and
  • provide any relevant documentation, invoices, or photographs where requested.

Warranty Claims

If you believe there is an issue covered by our workmanship warranty, please contact us as soon as possible.

Good Neighbour Plumbing will assess the claim and, if the issue is determined to be covered under warranty, arrange for rectification within a reasonable timeframe.
